Tab for all of my videos is available for $6.00 per tab. Placing an order through PayPal is simple, safe and fast.
Place an order in four easy steps:
1. Press the “Donate” button to the right of this page. This will redirect you to PayPal’s secure site
2. Enter $6.00 into the “Donation Amount” field and hit “Update Total”
3. Login or create an account if you’re new to PayPal
4. Send me an email through my contact page telling me what song you’d like and whether it’s for guitar or banjo
Once I receive your order I will email you your requested tab in both PDF and TablEdit formats unless you specify a preference. I’ve had hundreds of orders from pickers all over the globe and satisfaction is guaranteed. Turnaround time is less than 24 hours and in most cases you’ll have your tab in a matter of hours.

I’m sure that many folks will appreciate the TABs, but I like the videos A LOT and find them ultimately more useful. By the time I work my way through a video, I’ve got the tune memorized and from there writing out my own TAB is not too hard.
If you want to train your ear, skip the TABS and muscle your way through no matter how long it takes. Work until you can sing along with the slow tempo sections of the videos or hear it in your head when you’re in the shower. Even if you can’t grasp it all at first, your ear will get better as you go. Heck, the videos are high quality enough that you can TAB them just by looking at the fingers.
Thanks SeanRay for the videos. I’m an old sax player learning a new instrument (guitar) and you’ve added some fun to the process. Good for you for charging for the TABs. I hope it will support your efforts to make some more videos. I’ll keep working on my cross-picking!
You’ve articulated the point I’ve been trying to make since I first started filming the videos. Tab is a great tool but you’ll never get the feel of a tune by tab alone. After so many tab requests I finally broke down and started writing the tunes out. This seems to help speed up the process for some people so I’m all for that.
Making the videos is actually more difficult than tabbing but it’s also more fun so that’s why I decided to charge for the tab. Writing tab feels a lot like work and at $6 a shot I won’t be retiring anytime soon; or at all for that matter.

You did everything right and you’re tab has been delivered. For anybody else wondering how the ordering process works it’s quite simple. Once you donate your money through PayPal I receive an email notifying me of your donation. There is a comment section on the PayPal form where you can tell me which tab(s) you would like though it’s at the very bottom of the page and most people don’t see it. So usually people send me an email through my contact page, on this site, usually saying something like “Hey I just sent you $6 bucks and I’d like the PDF for Pike County Breakdown”. In the rare occasion someone sends me money and forgets to request anything (it’s only happened once so far) I email them back to ask what they would like. Rest assured If you send money through PayPal it’s always attached to an email address therefore it’s always easy to contact the sender if there are any questions.

I would like to be able to buy all the tabs at one price, in one file. At least the guitar version, as a book basically. Is this possible?
Yes that is possible.
I offer discounts for multiple orders and I can deliver them in a variety of ways. For example if you’d like a “book” as you describe then I can create a single, multi-page PDF. The same cannot be done with the TEF files though they can be zipped into one folder for transport. When you unzip the single folder it will reveal the multiple files within.
